PRECAUTIONS
1.
Add the minimum number of
access
holes n e c e s s a r y .
2.
Any c i r c u l a r o r rectangular a c c e s s hole which
is
used with approved optional equipment installa-
tions may be added in lieu of the a c c e s s hole illustrated,
3. Use landing light installations instead of a c c e s s holes (thru 1970 Models) where possible. Do not
add a c c e s s holes
at
outboard end
of
wing; remove wing t i p instead.
4. Do not add an a c c e s s hole in the s a m e bay where one is already located.
5 . Locate new a c c e s s holes n e a r the center of a bay (spanwise).
6. Locate new a c c e s s holes forward of the front s p a r s
as
close t o the front s p a r
as
practicable.
7 . Locate new a c c e s s holes aft of the front s p a r between the first and second s t r i n g e r s aft of the
s p a r . When installing the doubler, rotate it
s o
the two straight edges a r e closest to the s t r i n g e r s .
8. Alternate bays, with new a c c e s s holes staggered forward and aft of the front s p a r , a r e p r e -
fer
able.
9.
A
maximum of five new a c c e s s holes in each wing is permissible; if more
are
required, contact
,
the C e s s n a Service Department.
10. When
a
complete leading edge skin is being replaced, the wing should be supported in such
a
1
manner
so
that wing alignment
is
maintained.
