It will take a few minutes for the Set Top Box to move through three loading
screens and the screen may go black between each one. Don't worry, this is
normal. Once finished simply follow the instructions on the Welcome Screen.
You will be prompted to enter your Activation Code which you will have
received on the letter which came with your Optus TV set top box. Use the
remote control to enter the code. Activation codes are case sensitive, so you
can change the keyboard to upper case and back by pressing the Text button.
Press the Done button on the on-screen keyboard when finished.
Once entered, your code will be will checked and confirmed.
The next screen prompts you to set up your Parental PIN. You can do this now
by following the on screen instructions or do it later by accessing User in the
Manage>Settings menu. The default PIN is 0000. If you forget your PIN you
can reset it at optus.com.au/optustv
The Set Top Box will then perform a Channel Scan which may take up to 5
minutes. When completed, follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
Next the box will perform a diagnostic test and this will take a few minutes to
complete.
The final set up screen will take a few moments to load and then the Optus TV
menu will appear at the top of the screen.
Optus TV is now ready for you to use.
