    Defining the paths Use Command View (shown) or LUN Configuration Manager to map paths between ports and volumes within the disk array. The paths (LUNs) you create provide the host access to array devices. For detailed instructions, refer to the Command View or LUN Configuration Manager user guide. The rdsk devices use a raw interface to communicate with the disk, and the dsk devices use a block interface. The ccontroller#, ddrive#, and llun# parameters indicate the SCSI controller number, target ID, and logical unit number.

    Partitioning and labeling the devices After new device recognition has been verified, partition the new SCSI disk devices using the fx utility. When the disk array is connected through a fabric switch, you must specify the device file when starting the fx utility. After setting the partitions for a device, verify the partitions using the prtvtoc command.
