Low Oil Indicator Light
n
The low oil indicator light will alert the operator if the oil level is low.
Visually check the oil level in the bottle. Add oil before further
operation of the snowmobile. See page 61 for oil recommendations.

Low Oil Level

n
Always maintain the oil level above the
tank's low level line. This is especially
important when the machine is operated
in mountainous terrain. Maintaining the
proper oil level will prevent system
aeration and possible loss of pumping
action, which could result in engine
damage.
If necessary, the engine may be operated
as long as oil is visible in the oil tank. If
oil is not visible, continued operation
may cause serious engine damage. See
page 61 for oil recommendations.
CAUTION
Operating the snowmobile without
adequate engine lubrication can result
in serious engine damage. Always
check the oil level when refueling.
Add oil as needed.
Always maintain an adequate supply of oil in the tank. If necessary,
the engine may be operated as long as oil is visible in the oil tank. But
if oil is not visible, continued operation may cause serious engine
damage. See page 61 for oil recommendations.
The Polaris oil cap on the oil bottle is vented to allow proper oil flow.
See your Polaris dealer for recommended replacement parts.
