Security settings

When security features that restrict calls are in use (such as call restriction,
closed user group, and fixed dialing) calls still may be possible to the official
emergency number programmed into your device.
Select
Menu
>
Settings
To set the phone to ask for your PIN code every time the phone is switched on,
select
PIN code
request. Some SIM cards do not allow the PIN code request to be
turned off.
To restrict incoming calls to and outgoing calls from your phone, select
restrictions
(network service). A restriction password is required.
To restrict your outgoing calls to selected phone numbers (if this function is
supported by your SIM card), select
To specify a group of people whom you can call and who can call you, select
Closed user group
(network service).
To set the phone to ask for the security code whenever a new SIM card is inserted
into the phone, select
If you select Memory, the phone asks for the security code when the SIM card
memory is selected and you want to change the memory in use.
To change the security code, PIN code, PIN2 code, or restriction password, select
Access
codes.

Restore factory settings

To reset some of the menu settings to their original values, select
Restore factory
settings. Enter the security code. The data you have entered or
downloaded, such as names and phone numbers saved in Contacts, are not deleted.

■ Operator menu

This menu lets you access a portal to services provided by your network operator.
The name and the icon depend on the operator. For more information, contact
your network operator. If this menu is not shown, the other menu numbers
change accordingly.
The operator can update this menu with a service message. For more information,
see "Service inbox," page 82.
