Settings when using HDMI output devices

HDMI terminals can carry audio and visual signals to the TV with an HDMI certifi ed cable. When you want to output
the audio and picture from an HDMI output device on the TV, select "INPUT4", "INPUT5", "INPUT6" or "INPUT7"
by switching the input source.

"INPUT4", "INPUT5", "INPUT6" or "INPUT7"
using INPUT on the remote control unit or on
the TV.
Press MENU and the MENU screen displays.

Press c/d to select "Setup".

Press b/c/d to select "Option".

Press a / b to select "Terminal setting", and

then press ENTER.
Press a / b to select "HDMI auto view", and

then press ENTER.
• The HDMI auto view can be selected only when
"INPUT4", "INPUT5", "INPUT6" or INPUT7 is
selected.

Enable/Disable Set whether or not to use WIDE
MODE based on signal recognition,
including an HDMI signal.
NOTE
• Refer to your external equipment operation manual for the
above settings.
• When connecting a DVI-HDMI conversion adaptor/cable to
the HDMI terminal, the image may not come in clearly.

Audio select for connecting HDMI

When connecting HDMI to the INPUT5 terminal, and
inputting analogue audio signals from the AUDIO IN
terminal.
Go to "MENU" s "Setup" s "Option" s "Terminal
setting" s "PC input" s "Audio select".
Selected items
HDMI (Digital) When connecting devices with HDMI
cable to the INPUT5 terminal.
HDMI + Analogue When connecting devices with HDMI
cable to the INPUT5 terminal and
inputting analogue audio signals from
the AUDIO IN terminal.
NOTE
• You must set this to "HDMI+Analogue" when connecting
devices with an HDMI-certifi ed cable to the INPUT5
terminal. If "HDMI (Digital)" is set, there will be no sound
output.
