Troubleshooting

Cause
Engine flooded from excessive
priming
Spark plug wire disconnected
Fuel tank empty or stale fuel
Engine not choked
Faulty spark plug
Engine not primed
Ignition key installed improperly
Throttle in stop position
Spark plug wire loose
Spark plug scorched, defective, or
electrode gap set incorrectly
Stale fuel
Unit running with choke on
Water or dirt in fuel system
Engine oil level low

Solution
1.
Wait at least ten minutes before
starting
2.
Connect wire to spark plug
3.
Fill tank with clean, fresh gasoline
4.
Choke engine
5.
Clean, adjust gap, or replace
6.
Prime engine 3 times
7.
Insert ignition key all the way
8.
Move throttle to FAST/RUN position
1.
Connect and tighten spark plug wire
2.
Re-adjust electrode gap or change
spark plug
3.
Fill tank with clean, fresh gasoline
4.
Move choke to off
5.
Drain fuel tank. Refill with fresh fuel.

Fill engine with proper amount of
engine oil.
