Hardware Installation
Note:
Follow the general instructions for installation of the card. If necessary, read the
manual of your computer, or ask a specialist for help.
1. Turn off your PC, and unplug the power cord.
2. Open the housing.
3. Remove the slot bracket from the available PCI Express slot.
4. Insert the card straight and carefully into the free PCI Express slot, until it is
well seated.
5. Use a screw to attach the card to the housing.
6. Reattach the housing, and connect the power cord to the AC adapter.
Driver Installation
Windows XP Service Pack 2
USB2.0 Controller:
1. After installation of the device, and after start of Windows the Hardware
wizard appears. Choose the option "No, not this time" and click "Next".
2. Insert the driver CD into the drive.
3. Choose "Install software automatically" and click "Continue".
4. When driver is located, click "Finish".
5. Afterwards repeat the procedure again.
FireWire Controller:
1. Open the folder: "1394B\setup_xp2", click "Continue installation" and click on "ok".
2. Choose "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." and click on "Close".
3. After restart you can start using the device immediately.
Windows XP Service Pack 1
USB2.0 Controller:
1. After installation of the device, and after start of Windows the Hardware
wizard appears.
2. Insert the driver CD into the drive.
3. Choose "Install software automatically" and click "Continue".
4. When driver is located, click "Finish".
5. Afterwards repeat the procedure again.
FireWire Controller:
1. Open the folder: "1394B\setup_xp1", click "Continue installation" and click on "ok".
2. Choose "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." and click on "Close".
3. After restart you can start using the device immediately.
