REMOVAL
Remove bolts and washers securing rewind starter to
engine, then remove rewind starter.

NOTE: On some models, the cab requires sup-
porting before removing starter housing. The re-
taining cable is attached to one' of the rewind
starter attaching bolts.
DISASSEMBLY & ASSEMBLY
CD®Prior to installing starter grip on new rope, it is first
necessary to fuse the rope end with
a
lit match. Pass
rope through starter grip, and tie a knot in the rope end.
Fuse the knot with a lit match then turn the knot down
and pull the starter grip over the knot.
