Other Operations

This section describes how to perform various operations in the
Scanner Wireless Connection Utility.

To Disconnect the Scanner

When the device is not to be used, or when it is to be used with
another computer on the same wireless network, disconnect the
device. After clicking the device in the list on the main screen, click
When "Available" is displayed next to the device in the device list, the
device has been disconnected.

To send a disconnect request

If another computer is already connected to the device, your computer
cannot connect to it until the other computer disconnects from the
scanner. In this case, you can send a disconnect request to the
computer using the device.
After clicking the device in the list on the main screen, click

When the computer receiving the request disconnects, "Available" is
displayed for the device in the device list, and you can connect your
computer to the device.
Hint
In the opposite situation, the following screen is displayed when a
disconnect request is received. Click [Yes] to disconnect.
