Spill Resistance

The Intel-powered Classmate PC-Convertible features a spill-resistance function on keyboard, power
button, touch screen and touch pad buttons to ensure greater protection against spills.
These are the ways to avoid damage to your system:
Save all important documents within 3-minutes.
Power off the system using the normal procedure through the start menu, unplug the AC
Adapter, and remove the battery.
Tilt the unit to the left-most and right-most position, and gently wipe the liquid off of the
keyboard. Do not press the keyboard.
Power on the system after letting it dry up for four hours.
Warning:
You can severely damage your system if you forcibly shut down the computer.

Getting Started

Connecting to a Power Source

A universal AC adapter is provided to supply your computer with power and also charge the computer's
battery pack. The adapter's AC input voltage can range anywhere from 100 to 240 volts, covering the
