AdvanceTrac with RSC
(Roll Stability Control)
• Standard on SRW models
• An electronic stability control system that helps the
driver maintain vehicle stability in adverse driving
situations or when making evasive maneuvers on
slippery pavement
• Monitors vehicle's cornering behavior with steering
angle, lateral acceleration and yaw rate sensors,
and automatically makes braking and throttle
adjustments to match vehicle's direction to the
driver's intention using Anti-lock Braking System
(ABS) and Traction Control components
• AdvanceTrac automatically activates whenever the
vehicle is started, but may be turned off for certain
situations such as when "rocking" a vehicle stuck in
mud or snow
NOTE: Please remember that even sophisticated,
advanced technologies cannot defy the laws of physics.
Encourage safe driving habits to your customers.
NOTE: See the Safety section in the Source Book
Appendices or on eSourceBook for more information.

MyKey

• Allows parents and fleet owners to program a "key
limit" to certain vehicle functions to help promote
safe driving habits
• Default restrictions include:
– Persistent Belt-Minder alert that mutes audio
system until driver front safety belt is fastened
– Earlier Low Fuel Warning indicator
– Restriction of disabling certain features, if equipped
• Programmable restrictions include:
– Limited vehicle top speed
– Configurable speed alert chime at 45, 55 OR 65 mph
– Maximum audio system volume
• Programming MyKey is done via the Message Center
– One standard key will be the Administrator Key,
while the other will operate as MyKey with the
programmed restrictions
(1) SOS hardware may become damaged or the battery may lose power in a crash, which could prevent operation. Not all crashes will activate an airbag.

SOS Post-Crash Alert System

• Activates the hazard flashers and sounds the horn
after a crash in which the airbags deploy
• Sounding the horn and flashing the hazards makes
the vehicle easier to locate if the accident happens
off the roadway
• System operates until deactivated or battery power
is depleted
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
• Standard on all SRW models
• Sensor-based system alerts the driver to significant
underinflation in any of the tires, excluding the spare
• Pressure sensors detect actual tire pressure and
activate a warning light in the vehicle's instrument
cluster when a tire is significantly underinflated
• Properly inflated tires help to maximize fuel economy
and maintain a smooth ride
NOTE: See the Safety section in the latest Source Book
Appendices or on eSourceBook for more information.

Trailer Sway Control

• Standard on Single Rear Wheel (SRW) and Dual
Rear Wheel (DRW) models
• Works in conjunction with the AdvanceTrac with RSC
(Roll Stability Control) system to expand the
vehicle's dynamic stability control capabilities,
adding an additional layer of confidence and control
while towing a trailer
• AdvanceTrac control module incorporates additional
software to monitor the truck's performance
while towing
• The added software measures the yaw motion of the
truck to determine if the trailer is swaying and then
responds to eliminate the sway condition by applying
brake force to individual wheels and, if necessary,
reducing engine power
• DRW models do not include all of the AdvanceTrac
software, but do include a yaw motion sensor that
works much the same way, sensing trailer sway and
applying individual brakes or reducing power
