1.Open the Local Area Connection Properties window.
2.Double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to open the
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window.
3.Select Obtain an IP address automatically.
4.Click OK for the settings to take effect on the computer.

1.In Windows 2000, click Start, then Settings.I
2.Click Network and Dial-up Connections. Double-click
the network connection name to open the Status
window.
3.Right-click the connection icon for the network adapter
and select Properties.
4.Double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to open the
TCP/IP properties window.
5.Select Obtain an IP address automatically.
6.Click OK, then OK again.
7.Click Close to finish the network configuration.
