Turbo Waste Gate Control
The waste-gate crack off pressure: = 0.41 bar ± 0.05 bar.
This measurement is made with a Dial Test Indicator (DTI) positioned onto the waste-gate actuator rod as
shown in diagram 24. The crack off point at which the waste-gate valve "2" lifts off its seat is = to 10
thousandths of an inch (0.010") of travel on the actuator rod "1".
The turbine housing is incorporated into the exhaust manifold and is of a roughcast finish shown in
diagram 25.
