Changing the Flash Timing

Change the timing of the flash and shutter release as follows.

Access the setting screen.

Press the <n> button, choose [Flash
Settings] on the [4] tab, and then press
the <m> button

Configure the setting.

Choose [Shutter Sync.], and then choose
the desired option
The flash fires immediately after the shutter opens.
1st-curtain
The flash fires immediately before the shutter closes.
2nd-curtain

Changing the Compression Ratio (Image
Quality)
Choose from two compression ratios, [ ] (Super Fine) and [
follows. For guidelines on how many shots at each compression ratio can fit
on a memory card, see "Number of 4:3 Shots per Memory Card"
