RJ45 connector for the CAT5 cable input. A small universal power supply is included with the AC155A-R2. The AC155A-R2 can recover the VGA and audio signals from UTP or STP (CAT5/5e/6) cables up to 1000 feet (300 meters) long with little to no degradation.

NOTICE Do not connect this unit to any LAN device such as network cards or hubs as this may damage the AC155A-R2 and/or the LAN device. Use EIA/TIA 568B standard straight-through patch wiring as shown below. Do not use crossover cables.
AC155A-R2 3. Configuration & Operation The only thing that requires configuration on the AC155A-R2 is the COMPENSATION setting. Please refer to Figure 2.2 for the location of the potentiometer. The pot is recessed and you need a small screwdriver to adjust it.

Fuzzy, blurry, or ghosting image at remote location If you have a stable image but it looks somewhat blurry, make sure that you have set the Receiver unit’s compensation pot correctly. Also check table 3.1 to see that you have not exceeded the maximum cable length recommendation.
If you need to transport or ship your Receiver: • Package it carefully. We recommend that you use the original container. • Before you ship the unit back to Black Box for repair or return, contact us to get a Return Authorization (RA) number.
