* Miele special detergents:
Washing detergents which were specifically designed for certain programmes
or items (e.g. Miele CareCollection).
** Only use proofing agents which are stated by the manufacturer as being
"suitable for use on membrane textiles" as these consist of fluorochemical
compounds. Do not use proofing agents which contain paraffin. Fill the
detergent drawer § with proofing agent.
All modern detergents produced for automatic front loading washing machines
are suitable. Use dispensing aids, e.g. balls, if these are supplied with the
detergent. Tablets are suitable for full loads, but note that it may be impractical to
reduce tablets for smaller loads. Some tablets do not dissolve as rapidly as
others, and may not be suitable for programmes with short durations.
Do not use biological detergents on silk as the enzymes may damage the silk!
Instructions for use and recommended dosage amounts are given on the
detergent packaging.
For programmes without Pre-wash or Delay start, liquid detergent can either be
dispensed placing a ball-shaped container (commonly provided by the detergent
manufacturer) straight onto the laundry load or alternatively dispensed through
the detergent dispenser drawer. For programmes with Pre-wash or Delay start
(where applicable), an additional liquid detergent dispenser insert (Material
number 6134691) is available from Miele.
