    Important safety instructions Read these instructions. Keep these instructions. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions. Do not use this apparatus with water. Clean only with dry cloth. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. 10. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over. 11.     Quick Start Power the iTrack Solo using an Apple USB Power supply (not included) and the included USB A to USB B cable Note: When using the iTrack Solo with an iPad, please enable “Airplane Mode” in the settings menu to avoid interruption during recording & playback.
  • Page 9 Connect the iTrack Solo to your iPad using the included cable Note: When connecting the DEVICE LINK cable to the DEVICE LINK port on the iTrack Solo please push the connector firmly into the iTrack Solo until you hear a “click”. To disconnect, please firmly press the sides of the connector and pull.
  • Page 10 Connect your music equipment to the iTrack Solo Note: Once connected, speakers should only be turned on or off when the iTrack Solo is powered and the “USB power LED” is lit.
  • Page 11 Recording Guitar and Vocals into Garageband • Plug in microphone to the iTrack Solo • Turn 48V phantom power on if required (please see your microphone’s user manual for more info) Sing / play the instrument you are recording and turn the gain knob until the gain halo is green and not flashing red when you are singing / playing as loud as you will when you record. This will ensure that your audio will be correctly recorded. In Garageband create a new “Audio Recorder”/ “Guitar Amp” track Use the audio settings panel on the audio recorder to select: “left channel” (this will record the mic input) or “right channel” (this will record the guitar input) Congratulations! You’re ready to make music with your iTrack Solo! Note: The iTrack Solo will also work with your Mac or PC. Please go to www.focusrite.com to download the iTrack Solo Driver for your computer.
