WhAT CAN hAPPEN
• Spilled gas o l ine and it's vapors can
be c ome ignited from cigarette sparks,
electrical arcing, exhaust gas e s and hot
engine components such as the muffler.
• Heat will ex p and fuel in the tank which
could result in spillage and pos s i b le fire
explosion.
• Operating the pressure washer in an
ex p lo s ive en v iron m ent could re s ult in a
fire.
• Materials placed against or near the
pressure washer can in t er f ere with
its proper ventilation fea t ures caus i ng
overheating and possible ig n i t ion of the
materials.
• Muffler exhaust heat can damage paint e d
sur f ac e s, melt any material sen s i t ive to
heat (such as siding, plastic, rub b er, vinyl
or the pressure hose, itself), and dam a ge
live plants.
• Improperly stored fuel could lead to
acciden t al ignition. Fuel im p rop e r l y
secured could get into the hands of
children or oth e r un q ual i f ied persons.
• Use of acids, toxic or cor r o s ive chemicals,
poisons, in s ec t i c ides, or any kind of flam-
ma b le solvent with this product could
re s ult in se r i o us injury or death.

hOW TO PREVENT IT
• Shut off en g ine and allow it to cool
before adding fuel to the tank.
• Use care in fill i ng tank to avoid spill-
ing fuel. Move pressure wash e r away
from fueling area before start i ng
en g ine.
• Keep maximum fuel level 1/2"
(12.7 mm) be l ow bottom of filler neck
to allow for expansion.
• Operate and fuel equipment in
well-ven t i l at e d areas free from
ob s tructions. Equip areas with fire
extinguisher suit a ble for gas o l ine fires.
• Never op e r a te pressure wash e r in an
area containing dry brush or weeds.
• Always keep pressure washer a
minimum of 4' (1.2  m) away from
surfac e s (such as houses, au t o m o b iles
or live plants) that could be damaged
from muffler exhaust heat.
• Store fuel in an OSHA approved
contain e r, in a se c ure location away
from work area.
• Do not spray flammable liquids.
