3. INSTALLATION
1 POWER SUPPLY
Connect the power supply block on this
connector. The AP303 accepts voltages
between 7 and 28 Volts. The
consumption will vary depending on the
extension cards installed in the player.
2 RS 232 serial link
This link has two functions:
1 – Updating your player's software.
New features could be released in the future and, to obtain them, you'll be able to download new
firmware versions from our site: www.id-al.com.
2 –Remote controlling your player through this RS232 link
You can send commands to your AP303 from a computer, an external remote control or an automated
system.
3 Compact flash memory card slot
Insert a Compact flash type memory card in this slot. The AP303 only accepts cards of a minimum
capacity of 64 Mo. Be careful to insert the card straight without forcing it in.
4 USB link
Connect the player and your computer with the USB cable. You can use a PC or an Apple MAC. This link
allows you to transfer, rename, delete and move all your files from any file management software. The
player's memory card is recognized as an external hard disk by the computer.
