9.7 Macintosh Workstation Control Panel

The Driver Control Panel for Macintosh Workstations is built-in to the Operating System. This
Control Panel can be found in Applications >> Utilities >> 'Audio MIDI Setup'. You can use
the Control Panel to set the sampling rate and synchronization mode of your ADA-8.
To make changes to the ADA-8 settings, first be sure that you have selected the ADA-8 unit
in the 'Properties For' drop down menu as shown below.
You should also select the ADA-8 unit to be your 'Default Input' and 'Default Output' device
using the drop down menus. You may choose to leave the 'System Output' routed to
'Built-in Audio' if you wish.

9.7.1 Sampling Rate

To change the sampling rate of your ADA-8 select the desired rate in either the Audio Input,
or the Audio Output, Format drop down menu. The change will automatically be applied to the
other drop down menu, because the sampling rate of the FireWire I/O Module's inputs and
outputs must be the same.
The sampling rates available are 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz and 96kHz. If your setup
consists of an ADA-8 XR unit fitted with a FireWire I/O Module that is operating in the
