CAUTION
Do not engage the starting motor for
more than five seconds at a time as it
may overheat the wiring harness and
starting motor.
If the engine does not start after several
attempts, check the fuel supply and igin-
tion system. (Refer for Page 67 )
WARNING
The
side stand ignition interlock system.
If the transmission is in neutral or side
stand up, you can only start the engine
with pulling in the clutch lever.
This side stand ignition interlock system
prevents the motorcycle from being
started with side stand down.
Make sure that the side stand igintion
interlock system is working properly
before riding.
CAUTION
This motorcycle always come on the
head lamp and tail lamp when starting
the engine.

CARBURETOR CHOKE LEVER

The carburetor is equipped with a choke
system to provide easy starting when the
engine is cold.
When starting the cold engine, turn the
choke lever all the way toward you. The
choke works best when the throttle is in the
closed position. When the engine is warm,
you do not need to use the choke system
for starting.
If you keep running in condition of full
choke lever, it causes fuel excess
exhaustion, high speed not to run, it
may damage ignition plug.
