    Product set up Where to place your product It is important that you consider carefully in advance where your ALCOM Premium Colombo Combo telephone and cordless handset will be situated and make sure that they are: . on a flat and stable surface .
  • Page 10: Setting Up The Telephone Base And Handset

    Slide the battery compartment shut. WARNING Use only approved rechargeable batteries supplied with your ALCOM Premium Colombo Combo. Please do not use alkaline or non-rechargeable batteries. It may cause permanent damage to the product and void the warranty. 3. Place the handset onto the base to charge for at least 24 hours. When the handset is fully charged the battery icon in the top right of the display will indicate this.

    Handset battery low warning If the icon flashes in the display, you will need to recharge the cordless handset before you can use it again. During charging, the icon in the display will scroll. Once the battery is fully charged the icon will stop scrolling. Handset battery performance In ideal conditions, fully charged batteries should give about 10 hours talk time or 150 hours standby time on a single charge.

Clock & alarm, telephone base If you subscribe to your network’s Caller Identification service, the time on your Telephone base is set automatically each time you receive a call, depending on your network provider. You can also set or adjust the time using the Clock & Alarm menu.
