Installing battery
compartment cover
Insert battery compartment
cover in mountings 2
Install screws 1.
Removing battery

An incorrect disconnection
sequence increase the risk
of short-circuiting.
Always observe the proper
sequence.
Remove negative cable 3 first.
Remove protective cap 2 from
positive terminal.
Then remove positive cable 1.
Unscrew screws 4 and pull re-
taining bracket toward rear.
Lift battery up and out, using
tilting movements if it is difficult
to move.
Installing battery
Switch off ignition.
Place battery in battery com-
partment with positive terminal
on left in driving direction.
Push retaining strap over bat-
tery and install screws 4.
An incorrect installation se-
quence increases the risk
of short-circuiting.
Always observe the proper se-
quence.
