    Organization This Guide is organized into four chapters and one appendix. Chapter 1 describes the standard features of the Duracell Inverter 3000, as well as its protection features. Chapter 2 provides information on the different parts of the Duracell Inverter 3000.

    Features AC Panel Figure 2-1 AC Panel Feature Description On/Off Switch turns the inverter’s control circuit on and off. This switch is not a power disconnect switch. Disconnect AC and DC power before working on any circuits connected to the inverter. Fault light (red): indicates the inverter has shut down due to inverter overload or over-temperature.

Turning loads on separately helps to ensure that the inverter does not have to deliver the starting current for all the loads at once, and will help prevent an overload shutdown.

    Operation Inverter Loads The inverter will operate most AC loads continuously within its power rating of 2500 W. However, some appliances and equipment may be difficult to operate, and other appliances may actually be damaged if you try to operate them with the inverter. Please read “High Surge Loads”...

    This gives the batteries a much longer life cycle than recharging when they are more deeply discharged. Duracell Inverter 3000 has a battery low voltage shutdown at 10.5Vdc. With moderate to heavy loads, this will protect against over- discharging the battery.
