The Local menu has the following items:
Battery: 45%, charging
Battery presents the status of the battery and informs you if the battery is charging.
In case the USB connection is used, the ALVA BC640 or ALVA BC680 will start
charging via USB automatically.
The status of the battery loading can be:
- Charging
- Not charging
*FP* Notes
Notes. This menu item is only available when using an ALVA BC640 with Feature
Pack. Press Smartpad Enter to activate the internal Notes function. Or, press space
+ N to activate Notes.
Date/Time: 01/01/2008 01:00:00
Date and time. This menu item shows the current date and time. To set the date and
time and to change the date and time format, please refer to the set date, set time
and date and time format menu options.
Bluetooth status: connected
Bluetooth® status displays if the ALVA BC640 or ALVA BC680 Bluetooth® is
connected or disconnected.
Set Bluetooth pairable
Set Bluetooth® pairable. Activating this menu item will disconnect the current
Bluetooth® connection and make the ALVA Braille Controller visible to other
Bluetooth® devices. Alternatively, switching the ALVA BC640 or ALVA BC680 off
and on will disconnect the current Bluetooth® connection and switches the
Bluetooth® module into the pairable state too.
