OVERVIEW

• Read all the safety information on pages 3 through 5.
• Familiarize yourself with the front and rear panels of the NAS (see below).
• Decide how you want to connect the NAS (and to which equipment) – see pages 7 through 10 for some examples and explanations.
• Connect the equipment together according to your chosen setup, but do not yet connect the power cords (see page 11).
• Connect the power cords and turn on the equipment in the correct order (see page 12).
• Use client set-tops to turn on Home Content Sharing and program short-cut buttons on the client set-tops' remote controls (see page 13).
• View diagnostics screens to check the installation (see pages 14 through 21).
• Use My Network to check the installation (see pages 22 and 23).

Lights green when the NAS is on; red
when the NAS is off (standby); not lighted
when the NAS is disconnected from the

MoCA light
Lights up green when there are MoCA signals on the coax cable to the NAS
(i.e. the NAS and another MoCA device are communicating with each other).
LAN light
Lights up green when there are Ethernet signals on the Ethernet
(Cat5e/Cat6) cable to the NAS (i.e. the NAS and a client set-top are
communicating with each other).

For connection to an optional
USB device (for future use).

Connect by coaxial cable to the coaxial
splitter that splits the cable input to the
