Fuel Tank Removal

Refer to Safety Precautions on page 19.
Removal
1. Turn the fuel valve OFF.
2. Remove the right side shroud bolts (1).
3. Slide the right side shroud (2) forward.

4. Remove the left side shroud bolts (3), collar

5. Remove the seat (page 29).
6. Pull the breather tube (6) out of steering stem
nut.
7. Unhook and remove the fuel tank band (7).
8. Disconnect the fuel line (8) from the fuel
valve.
9. Remove the right and left side fuel tank
bolts/washers (9) and fuel tank.

Gasoline is highly flammable and
explosive. You can be burned or seriously
injured when handling fuel.
• Stop the engine and keep heat, sparks
and flame away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
