Installing an accessible drive

► Open the casing (see
► If you are installing the drive in the upper bay and a cover (optional) is
already in place, please remove it.

► If you are installing the drive in the lower bay, break out the pre-stamped metal
panel on the drive bay opening using a screwdriver.
Do not throw away the cover. For cooling, protection against fire, and in order to comply
with EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) regulations, you must refit the cover if you
remove the drive again later (see
► Adjust the required settings on the drive (also on drives which are already installed, if necessary).

► Slide the accessible drive into the casing as far as the stop (1).
► Plug the data and the power supply connectors into the drive. Make sure the polarity is correct.
