Hello, I cannot locate the dryness sensor on the AD55 model. I’m certain it just needs a clean as it seems to cut off when the clothes are almost dry. I cannot locate the sensor.

The dryness sensor on the Fisher & Paykel AD55 model is mounted on a small piece of PCB attached to the wiring harness.

@Mr. Anderson Thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge. It has been driving me crazy trying to locate it. Does that mean it's at the back of the machine and the metal plate needs to be removed to locate it?

New board installed for ED 56 and double checked phase and neutral relocations. Dryer lights up and LEDs twinkle when first plugged in but when started up and running, no heat detected. Could it be the heater elements on the blink? Have violet wires on Heat 1 and Heat 2

If the heater element lights up but does not produce heat after a new board installation, it is more likely that the issue is with the wiring or control signals from the new board rather than a faulty heater element. The heater element itself is likely not faulty if it lights up. Check the electronic module connections and ensure the board is correctly wired. Also, verify proper function using the test procedures mentioned, such as checking amp or watt readings under different temperature settings.

When the dryer is switched on there is a humming noise but the drum does not rotate regardless of what setting it's turned to. The likely problem and solution? Thanks.

The likely problem is a faulty or jammed motor, a broken or loose drive belt, or an obstruction in the drum.

Solution:
1. Ensure the dryer is properly plugged in and has power.
2. Check if the drum can be turned manually. If it is stuck, there may be an obstruction.
3. If the drum moves freely, the drive belt may be broken or loose and might need replacement.
4. If the belt is intact, the motor could be faulty and may require professional servicing.
