How to change the battery pack

Described below are the steps to take to
change the battery pack.
Before changing the battery pack, place
the unit on a desk or table.

Turn off this computer's
power.
x p For the procedure to turn off the power,
refer to "Turning off" on page 28.

when the hand strap is

With this computer placed
on a desk or table, open out
the pad of the hand strap.

Remove the buckle, and
extend the ends of the strap.

Release the battery pack
locks.

Remove the battery pack.
x p Take the steps for removing the
battery pack with this computer on a
desk, table or other such surface.
x p Ensure that the battery pack will not
fall.
x p If it proves difficult to remove the battery
pack, hook the buckle of the strap over
the grip, and turn it in the direction shown
by the arrow to remove the battery pack.
