Extensions and conversions

Second processor
If only one processor is installed in your server blade, you can add a second
processor to it. You may only use processors of the same type. The second
processor must have the same clock frequency as the first.
Main memory expansion
The system board has a total of 9 slots for memory modules. Of these, 6 slots
are for CPU 1 and 3 slots for CPU 2.
In total, the system board supports up to 72 GB main memory. Memory
modules with a capacity of 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB or 8 GB can be used.
Both registered DDR 3 memory modules (RDIMM) and unbuffered DDR 3
memory modules (UDIMM) are permitted. However, you must not use a mixture
of these two module types.

Optional I/O modules (mezzanine cards)
The server blade has two slots for expansion boards (known as mezzanine
cards), which can each provide two Fibre Channel connections or four
additional Ethernet connections.
You can choose from the following I/O modules:
– 8 Gbit Fibre Channel mezzanine card with 2 port (PCIe x8)
– 1 Gbit Ethernet mezzanine card with 4 ports (PCIe x4)
