To view your contacts
From your Home screen, tap
If you have not set up your phone for synchronization with a web service, you can choose to do
so the first time you open the Contacts application. You can then merge contacts imported from
your memory card with the synchronization service, if desired.See Synchronizing on page 49.

Managing your contacts

Create, edit, and synchronize your contacts in a few simple steps. Select to display only
the contacts you want to use in the phone. If you synchronize your contacts with more than
one account, you can join contacts in your phone to avoid duplicates.
Some synchronization services, for example some social networking services, do not allow you
to edit contact details.
To select which contacts to display

From your Home screen, tap

, then tap Display options.

In the list that appears, mark and unmark the desired options. If you have
synchronized contacts with an account, that account appears in the list. You can
tap the account to further expand the list of options. When you are finished, tap
Done.
To add a contact

From your Home screen, tap

and tap New contact.

If you have synchronized your contacts with more than one account, select the
account to which you want to add this contact.

Enter or select the desired information for the contact.

When you are finished, tap Done.
If you add a plus sign and the country code before a contact phone number, you can use the
number when you make calls from other countries.
To edit a contact

From your Home screen, tap

Touch and hold the contact you want to edit, then tap Edit contact.

Edit the desired information. When you are finished, tap Done.
To delete a contact
From your Home screen, tap

Tap the contact you want to delete.

and tap Delete contact.

Tap OK.
To export all contacts to the memory card

From your Home screen, tap

, then tap Import/Export.

Tap Export to SD card.

Tap OK.
Avoiding duplicate entries in Contacts
If you synchronize your contacts with a new account or import contact information in other
ways, you could end up with duplicate entries in Contacts. If this happens, you can join
such duplicates to create a single entry. And if you join entries by mistake, you can separate
them again later.
