Connecting the Recording Components
Carefully check the left (Ll and right (R) channels and the inputs and outputs, and be sure to interconnect
correctly.
Select the terminal to use and connect the device.
When recording via the AVR·1609, the playback device's cable must be of the same type as the cable used
to connect the AVR·1609's VCR OUT connector.

The audio signal input to
the HOMI input connector
cannot
be
played on the
AVR·1609, Input the audio
signal to the digital audio
input connector or analog
audio input connector.
TV tuner
Select the terminal to use and connect the device.
When using a coaxial cable for the digital audio connection, make the settings at "System Setup" - "Input
Setup" - "Digitalin Assign" (@"page 25).

Because video signals are output from the AVR-1609's monitor output terminal in the same format as the
video input signals, the monitor output tenninal should be of the same type as the tenninal used for
input.
