flushing the engine area with fresh
water after salt water operation.
Excessive water in the engine
compartment bilge can splash
into the air cleaner and engine.
This could cause engine damage.
Be sure all drain plugs are tight-
ened before operating your boat.
If a fuel or fuel/water mixture drains
from the fuel tank compartment drain
or is found in the engine compartment,
wipe it up immediately with dry rags.
WARNING! This indicates a fuel leak.
Do not operate the boat until the
source of the fuel leak is found and
corrected. Gasoline and its vapors
are highly flammable and explosive.
Engine Compartment
WARNING
Gasoline vapors can explode. Before
starting the engines, operate the
blower for at least 4 minutes and
check the engine compartment bilge
for gasoline vapors. Do not start the
engines if you can smell fuel vapors
in the engine compartment or if there
are any loose electrical connections.
Contact your dealer if there is a prob-
lem you cannot locate or correct.

Operate the bilge blower switch
at least 4 minutes before starting the
engines. Open engine hood and check
to be sure no gasoline vapors are pres-
ent. Check for fuel leaks or loose elec-
trical connections.
