ASSEMBLY
8. Pull the guide bar away from the saw body
so that the guide bar is fully extended and the
slack is removed from the chain. (See Figure
6)

9. Insert the sprocket cover tab into the saw body
tab slot, Step 1. Then lower sprocket cover
onto guide bar bolt, Step 2 (See Figure 7).
NOTE: At this point the sprocket cover will
not be fl ush against the saw body.

10. Finger tighten the guide bar nut onto the guide
bar bolt. (See Figure 8).

11. Slowly slide guide bar into saw body until the
adjustment block goes into the round adjusting
hole on the guide bar. (See Figure 6) NOTE:
This locks the guide bar in place. You should
not be able to push or pull the guide bar.
12. Retighten the bar nut fi nger tight.
13. Adjust the saw chain tension. Follow the steps
under Saw Chain Tension Adjustment..
