Chapter 1. About the drive

This chapter provides product and software descriptions for the ThinkCentre

and Lenovo

DVD-ROM

Drive (Serial ATA). Hereafter it is called the drive.

The drive is designed for installation in a computer that has a Serial ATA (SATA) connector.

The drive can read CD and DVD media, including audio CD, video CD, DVD+R DL, DVD-R DL, DVD-RAM,

and DVD video. It also can read multiple-session and extended architecture CD media.

The drive delivers data at up to 40 times the standard CD-ROM drive speed (40X) for CD-R and CD-ROM

media, and at up to 16 times the standard DVD-ROM drive speed (16X) for DVD media.

The option package includes:

• ThinkCentre and Lenovo DVD-ROM Drive (Serial ATA)

• One SATA cable

• Screws

• Software and User Guide Disc

• Laser Safety Information

• Setup and warranty poster
