Using WAP

Your phone has a WAP (Wireless Application
Protocol) browser and e-mail messaging
which are designed to bring a modified Internet to your
mobile phone. A wide range of services are available,
for example, news, entertainment, timetables,
reservations, banking, e-commerce, positioning
and e-mail.
Before you start
First make sure that you have:
• A phone subscription that supports data transmission.
• Correct settings in your phone for mobile Internet,
WAP and/or e-mail messaging. See "Setting up WAP
and e-mail" on page 47.
• Registered as a WAP/E-mail user with your network
operator or service provider.
• A WAP profile selected. The first time you start
browsing with a new or another WAP profile.
Note: See "E-mail account settings" on page 54 or
"E-mail" on page 63 for more information about
e-mail set-up and messaging.

To select a WAP profile
1. Scroll to WAP services,
2. Select the profile you want to use,
You then return to the WAP services menu and the
WAP profile is selected.
Using the WAP browser
To start browsing
• Scroll to WAP services,
the following:
• Open your homepage at the top of the list,
for example, Sony Ericsson.
• Go to one of your bookmarks.
Select Bookmarks,
• Enter the address of a WAP site.
Select Enter address,
new WAP address or select one of the 10 latest
entered addresses.
Tip: When you enter a WAP address, the normal
http:// prefix is not needed.
To exit WAP and disconnect
• Press and hold or
NO
• Press , select Exit WAP.
