for household use only.

Installation
• Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat
resistant surface: do not use it on a soft
surface such as a table pad.
Do not place the appliance on or near
slippery or hot surfaces. Do not let the cord
hang down or over a source of heat (hot
plates, gas cookers, etc.). Keep the appliance
out of reach of children.
Before using the appliance for the first time:
• Open the appliance.
• Remove
any
packaging,
accessories from both inside and outside the
appliance.
• Lightly coat the plates with vegetable oil or
non-stick cooking spray. Wipe with a soft
cloth.
Using the appliance
• Close the appliance.
Check that your electrical installation is
compatible with the power and voltage
shown underneath the appliance.
Plug the appliance into an earthed socket
only.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualified person
in order to avoid a hazard.
• Plug into socket. The red indicator (d) will
illuminate (2).
• Allow the appliance to pre-heat: the green
light (e) comes on when the correct cooking
temperature is reached (3).
When the appliance is used for the first time, it
may give off a slight odour and some smoke,
this is normal.
• Press

appliance (4).

• Use a ladle to pour waffle batter onto the
bottom plate of the appliance.
Spread the mixture evenly making sure the
entire area is covered but without spilling
over the side of the plate.
• Close the appliance.
• Cook the waffles for the time indicated in the
recipe.
• During use it is normal for the light to go on
and off.
• Open the appliance and remove the waffles.
Avoid the use of metalic or sharp utensils, as
they will damage the non-stick coating of
the toasting plates.
Cleaning
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning,
and leave to cool completely.
• Do not place the appliance in water or under
running water.
• To clean the exterior, wipe with a damp
cloth and dry.
• To clean the interior, wipe the plates with
a damp cloth, some washing-up liquid may
and
be used. Then wipe with a wet sponge and
dry carefully.
• Do not use metal scouring pads, scouring
powders, or abrasives when cleaning the
interior or exterior of this appliance.
Storage
The appliance can be stored vertically to save
space. Wind the cord into the cord storage
area (5).

LASSIC WAFFLES
Waffles for crusty treats.
Makes 16 waffles
Cooking time: approximately 3 1/2 min
300 g plain flour, 10 g baking powder, salt,
75 g sugar, 100 g butter, 2 eggs, 1/2 litre milk
• Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl.
Make a well in the centre and add the salt,
sugar, melted butter and eggs.
• Gradually add the milk.
• Let the batter stand for 1 hour.
