In an era of intensifying debate
about CO emissions, every

automotive manufacturer is being
asked the question, 'What is
your answer to the issue of fuel
consumption?' Our answer has
long been the same: maximum
efficiency.
Porsche has been reducing the
CO emissions of its vehicles
2
annually by an average of around
1.7%. In relation to engine power,
Porsche is already among those
manufacturers achieving the low-
est CO emissions. This has been

achieved through a new efficient
drive concept, optimum aerody-
namics, low rolling resistance and
lightweight construction. This
high level of environmental respon-
sibility is demonstrated by our
approach to environmental man-
agement at the Porsche develop-
ment center in Weissach. Here,
all technological developments are

carried out with environmental
protection in mind. The objective
is to achieve pure performance,
but not at the expense of the
environment.
