Thanks to the very stiff connection
between the chassis and body,
there is more exact wheel location,
so better handling and turn-in.
Ride-height lift system.
Our engineers have developed a
new ride-height lift system for the
front axle. The front of the vehicle
can now be lifted by 1.2 inches if
there is a risk of it grounding,
which will enable curbs, ramps,
and garage entrances to be
negotiated more easily and with
more precision than other sports
cars similar to the 911 GT3 mod-
els. A compressor generates air
pressure that lifts the front shock
absorbers in PASM (page 56).
The optional lift system is activated
and deactivated by a button on
911 GT3 rear axle with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)
The new 911 GT3 RS and the 911 GT3 |
the center console*. It can be
operated either while stationary or
while traveling at a speed of up to
approximately 31 mph.
This is a good example of how
our race engineers still consider
everyday use.
* The lift system should be moved to
the lower position when the vehicle is
parked because the air pressure is only
maintained for a certain length of time.
