Device: PTZ (see page 50)
Channel: The channel you'd like to configure a PTZ camera for.
Settings: See page 50 for more information about the PTZ
settings you'll find here.
You'll probably need the documentation that came with your
PTZ camera to figure out how to fill out this configuration
page.
System: General (see page 52)
System Standard: Changes between PAL or NTSC standards.
NTSC operates at 30 frames per second and is used in countries
with 60Hz power, such as the United States, Canada, Japan and
so on.
PAL operates at 25 frames per second, and is used in countries
with 50Hz power, such as most of Europe, the United Kingdom
and Australia.
This setting will ensure your DVR records at the same
frame rate as your cameras. The Swann SDI cameras can be
changed between 30/25fps to ensure that they do not see
the "flicker" of lights using the different AC power refresh
rates. If your power is 60Hz your cameras will be set to 30fps,
if your power is 50Hz your cameras will be set to 25fps. If
you buy Swann cameras from a region with a different AC
power refresh rate you will need to change the camera fps
or you may notice the image jumping, contact Swann Tech
Support for advice on making these changes.
If you change the System Standard,
it automatically forces a reboot of the DVR.
This will happen the instant you click OK.
Date Format: How you'd like the date displayed.
Device ID: A code differentiating this DVR from other DVRs or
DVR-like devices. You can leave this setting - it's only important
if you're got multiple DVR's and you're planning to use them on
the same network or share PTZ device control.
