Before using this unit: * Read the operator’s manual carefully. * Check that the cutting equipment is correctly assembled and adjusted. * Start the unit and check the carburetor adjustment. * Wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment (safety helmet, protective goggles, safety shoes, gloves, earplugs, etc). * Always wear gloves if you have to handle the blade.

6. ATTACHMENT SETUP 6-1. Attach the Engine to the shaft tube 1. Put the engine and shaft tube on the ground and assemble as in Fig.1 2. Attach the clutch to the engine and fasten the 4 screws tightly to prevent them coming loose during operation. Fig.
6-5. Cutting attachment mounting Important: Make sure that the engine is turned off and remove the spark plug cap before assembling the hedge trimmer. Wear protective gloves. Secure blades with the blade cover provided when connecting the hedge trimmer attachment into the shaft tube. Loosen the tube locking screw.
8. START, OPERATE, STOP THE ENGINE 8-1. Before starting the engine Check for loose screws and nuts and fill with properly mixed fuel. For safety, please place the engine on stable ground with the engine stand (fuel tank) and the guard on the ground. 8-2.
8-7. Start the engine Place the unit on the ground: It must rest securely on the engine support and the hook. Remove the blade guard: Check that the blade is not touching any object or the ground. Check that nobody is standing within the working range of the trimmer. Make sure you have a firm footing: hold the unit firmly against the ground with your left hand on the tube.

10-3. Filter cleaning The fuel hose has a filter at its end (in the fuel tank) to prevent foreign matter such as sand from entering the carburetor. Clean the filter as required because the pump cannot suck up fuel if the filter is clogged, this would cause the engine to stop.
10-8. Adding grease and lubricant The gearbox of the hedge trimmer should be greased every 20 working hours. Add approximately 10cc of lubricant (Shell Alvania No. 3 or equivalent) to the gearbox via the grease nipples and cap of the gear case.
