    3.0 VENTING WARNING RISK OF FIRE, MAINTAIN SPECIFIED AIR SPACE CLEARANCES TO VENT PIPE AND APPLIANCE.   • Page 9 For optimum fl ame appearance and appliance operation, keep the vent length and number of elbows to a minimum. It is recommended that all horizontal runs have a minimum 1/4” rise per foot. The air terminal must remain unobstructed at all times. Examine the air terminal at least once a year to verify that it is unobstructed and undamaged.

The periscope must be installed so that when fi nal grading is completed, the bottom air slot is located a minimum of 12” above grade. The maximum allowable vent length is 10’.

    VERTICAL THROUGH EXISTING CHIMNEY This appliance is designed to be attached to a 3” co-linear aluminum fl ex vent system running the full length of a masonry chimney. The fl ex liner accommodates any contours of a masonry chimney, however, it is necessary to keep the fl exible liner as straight as possible. The inlet air collar of the termination cap must be connected to the air intake pipe.

The roof support is optional. In this case the venting is to be adequately supported using either an alternate method suitable to the authority having jurisdiction or the optional roof support.

Pull handle and rotate 90°. Slide the door straight up to remove. LATCHES Follow the above steps in reverse in order to reinstall the door.
