This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualified service agency in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. If the information in
these instructions is not followed exactly, a fire, explosion or production of carbon monoxide may result causing
property damage, personal injury or loss of life. The qualified service agency is responsible for the proper
installation of this kit. The installation is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted appliance
is checked as specified in the owner instructions supplied with the kit.

PILOT INJECTOR
WARNING: Failure to position the parts in accordance with these
diagrams or failure to use only parts specifically approved with this
appliance may result in property damage or personal injury.
CAUTION: Before proceeding with conversion the gas supply must be
shut off prior to disconnecting the electrical power.
1. Remove the cast top by lifting it up and off of the appliance.
2. Remove the safety screen by lifting it up sligtly, carefully pivoting the
bottom out as to not scratch the bottom casting and then unhook it from the
top cating to remove from the appliance.
3. Remove the glass door by unlatching the two latches across the top of
the door, pull and rotate 90°, then slide the door straight up to remove it from
the appliance.
4. Remove the cast front by removing the two screws located in the upper
inside corners, then slide the front straight up to remove.
5. Remove the logs from the appliance.
6. Remove the burner by removing the two screws that secure it in place, as
shown below, then slide the burner off the orifice and then lift it up and out of the
appliance.
7. Using a deep socket wrench, remove the burner orifice. A back-up wrench
must be used on the manifold, located below the housing to ensure that the
aluminium tubing does not twist or kink. Replace the orifice supplied, use pipe
thread compound when installing new orifice.
8. Adjust the air shutter according to the table located on the back of this
page.
9. Reinstall the burner, ensure the venturi tube fits over the orifice and secure
using the two previously removed screws.

PILOT INJECTOR
10. To easily access the injector,
remove the pilot assembly from
the pilot bracket by removing the
four securing screws. (Refer to the
illustration on the right for details).
NOTE: The pilot assembly is
fragile and must be handled
with extreme care.
11. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the pilot tube fitting from the
pilot housing, the injector should slide out of the pilot housing.
NOTE: If the injector is stuck inside the pilot hood, lightly tap the pilot
housing to free the injector from it's position.
12. Install the new injector supplied, then resecure the pilot tube fitting.
13. Reinstall the pilot assembly back into position and secure in place
using the four previously removed screws.
14. To access the valve remove the valve cover plate by removing the
four screws, as shown below.
15. To convert the main valve to the desired fuel, follow the instructions
that are supplied with the SIT regulator assembly.
16. The conversion data label must be filled out and attached adjacent to
the valve.
17. Turn on the gas supply and check for gas leaks by brushing on a
soap and water solution.
18. Reinstall the valve cover plate by reinstalling the four previously
removed screws.
19. Reinstall the log set, refer to your installation manual for detailed
installation instructions.
20. Light the pilot and main burner to ensure that the gas lines have
been purged. Refer to the lighting instructions in your fireplace installation
manual.
Purge all gas lines with the glass door off. Assure that a
continuous flow is at the burner before replacing the door.
21. Reinstall the cast front, secure in place using the two previously
removed screws, refer to your installation manual for detailed installation
instructions.
22. Reinstall the door, secure in place using the two top latch
mechanisms. Inspect the relief system, ensure the door opens freely and
closes sealed.
23. Reinstall the cast top and safety screen, refer to your installation
manual for detailed installation instructions.
