7. TIMER FUNCTION
Timer Function
To set the TIMER to turn the unit on
Press the TM
or TM
button until the TIMER icon
appears.
Press again the TM
or TM
CONTROL buttons until the desired
hour of turning on the unit is reached.
To set the TIMER to turn the unit off
Press the TM
or TM
button for the TIMER icon
to appear.
Press again the TM
or TM
CONTROL buttons until the desired
hour of turning off the unit is reached.
Turning off the TIMER
- Take note that the timer function is independent of the Power function. When the unit is
turned off by the power button, the timer is not automatically canceled. If the on timer is
engaged, the unit may turn on automatically by itself at the set time.
- Press the CANCEL button to clear off the set ON or OFF TIMER.
8. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning Your Air Filters
A dirty air filter will cause a reduction of airflow, which in turn causes the unit to overload and also
consumes more electricity. Therefore regular cleaning is necessary for efficient and trouble-free
operation.
NOTE
When the 3 LED simultaneously blink twice every 3 seconds, it is time to clean the Air Filter.
If blinking persists, call service.
WARNING
: Ensure that the power supply is switched off before commencing
maintenance work.
Remove the Return Air Grille
Remove the screws on the return grille as
shown in the figure.
Remove the Air Filter from the Return Air
Grille.
Remove the dust from the air filter by using
vacuum cleaner or if it is very dirty, wash it
with soap and wipe dry before reinstalling it.
Slide the Air Filter back in the Return Air

Re-install the Return Air Grille.
9. CLEANING THE UNIT
Cleaning The Unit
Clean the fan coil unit with a damp cloth and wipe it dry.

Do not use water above 40
C for cleaning, as this will cause
discoloration and deformation.
Remove dust from the front covers and louvers area with your
vacuum cleaner's thin nozzle.
Do not splash or direct water to the body of the unit,
as this may cause a short circuit.
CAUTION:
Do not use thinner, benzene, abrasive powders or
hot water to clean the unit.
Not Operating For A Long Period Of Time
When the fan coil unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, switch off the
power from the circuit breaker. Remove the batteries from the remote control.
Before Putting The System Back To Operation
Turn on the main power to the system. Re-install the batteries into the remote control transmitter.
Run the unit in fan mode for a while to clear the air flow before you operate it in
another mode.
Clean the filter every other week for
higher efficiency
.
• Use curtains or blinds to prevent heat
gain from the sun light to the room.
Doing so will help reduce electric
consumption.
• It is good to introduce fresh air into
the room for awhile by opening the
window but not too long as energy
will be drained out.

Do not position the airflow directly at
infants, aged or sick person.
• Close all windows and doors when
operating the unit so that there is no
leakage of conditioned air outside the
room.
• Do not locate a heater or any other
heat source near the unit. The heat
may deform plastic parts.
8. TROUBLE-SHOOTING
Check the following before you contact the service man, you may find the solution to your problems
and save yourself time and money. And if the problem still persists,contact your service person.

THE FOLLOWING ARE NORMAL CONDITIONS FOR THE UNIT.
A soft, swishing noise can be heard during operation or

among others, from use with voltages beyond THE ALLOWABLE VOLTAGE RANGE OF
207 TO 253 VOLTS, or from failure to follow operating instructions provided. If the serial
number of the unit is removed, obliterated or defaced, or if the unit is faultily installed,
tampered with or altered by anyone other than a duly authorized service personnel, service
dealer or accredited installer of KOPPEL, INC., this warranty is considered null and void.
KOPPEL, INC. is not responsible and will not be held liable in contract or in tort (including
strict liability and negligence) for any special, indirect or consequential damages, including
but not limited to damage to structure or contents, or injury to persons by reason of the
installation, use or failure of any KOPPEL, INC. products.
