Events tab
The Events tab is where event logging is configured. Events can be manually downloaded to a file or
automatically sent to a syslog server for longer term storage.
Individual events can be enabled or disabled by manipulating the Disabled Events and Enabled Events lists.
Simply click on one or more events and click the buttons to move them from one list to the other.
The table below lists the options and descriptions for the Events tab.

NOTE: Logged events are stored in volatile memory on the switch. If power is lost or the switch is reset then the list of events is
cleared.
Defaults
The Defaults tab is where the OSD and receiver session timeouts are set as well as the transmitter USB mode and
traffic priorities are configured. These defaults apply when a new receiver or transmitter is added to the system.

From the Other tab, you can set the time for the LCD backlight flashing feature. The LCD backlight flashing
feature can help you identify a device. You can also enable or disable the settings for automatically rebooting
after a firmware update.
The IP address of a syslog server that event log messages should be sent to when they are
generated.
Controls whether Errors are recorded to the event log.
Controls whether warnings are recorded to the event log.
Controls whether informational messages are recorded to the event log.
The timeout, in minutes, after
which the OSD display disappears.
The timeout, in minutes, after
which the user is logged out and his
KVM session terminated if there is
no keyboard/mouse activity at the
receiver.
The default set for the transmitter
USB when a new transmitter is
added. By default, this is set to all
devices.
The default for traffic priority on the
