Repair – Motor
The Hall Effect sensor is
easily removed and
replaced. You'll have to
remove the rotor and
stator to access the
sensor. The rotor is
splined and fits snugly on
the drum's shaft. When
replacing the rotor, you
will probably need a
helper to hold the drum in
place while you push the
rotor onto the shaft. Otherwise, the drum may move forward far enough
to make it difficult to replace the bolt. The helper can also keep the
drum from turning while you torque the bolt.
