Repair – Motor
This motor is a 36-pole DC direct-drive motor. There are 12
magnets permanently attached to the rotor. Each magnet is
opposite 3 poles of the stator at any given time. A Hall Effect
sensor is mounted on the stator. It counts the poles of the
magnets as the rotor turns to feedback the information to the
controller. The motor controller can determine the direction
and speed of rotation by adjusting the polarity and amplitude
of the power applied to the stator.
