Owner's Manual
Before using this unit, carefully read the sections entitled "USING
THE UNIT SAFELY" (p. 3) and "IMPORTANT NOTES" (p. 7). These
sections provide important information concerning the proper
operation of the unit. Additionally, in order to feel assured that you
have gained a good grasp of every feature of your new unit, owner's
manual should be read in its entirety. This manual should be saved
and kept on hand as a convenient reference.

    When the unit is grounded, a slight hum may occur, depending on the particulars of your installation. If you are unsure of the connection method, contact the nearest Roland Service Center, or an authorized Roland distributor, as listed on the “Information” sheet.

    About the Power Supply About Securing the Power Cord You can use either of the two methods described below to secure the power cord in place. Doing this can prevent inadvertent disruption of power to your unit (should the plug be pulled out accidentally) and avoid applying undue stress to the DC IN connector.

    Connect a computer for remote control to the USB port. fig.PC-connection.eps Operating the VC-1-SH by remote control requires downloading dedicated software (VC-1 RCS) and installing it on a computer. You can download the dedicated software from the following Roland website.

    Setting the Operation Mode Use the mode switches (MODE SW) on the side panel to set the operation mode of the VC-1-SH. By default, only switch 10 is set to [ON]. Before making any setting changes, first set switch 10 to [OFF].
